What you can contribute

• Elaborate and manage scientific concepts, implementation planning and complex projects in the fields of Center of Excellence (CoE) signals, GE military systems and telecommunications and, in the role of main user representative, represent the uniform platform to the procurement authority and industry
• Independently perform expanded signal, spectral and protocol analyses; assume responsibility for the Integrated Signals Laboratory (ISL) bases and when establishing bases in the field of decoder development; provide support in the creation of signals for effective systems and in the field of reverse engineering
• Plan, develop and conduct experiments within the framework of Concept Development and Experimentation (CD&E); manage internal and external bodies with an emphasis on protocol and signal analysis
• Elaborate inter-organizational scientific concepts, studies and analyses; define innovation projects and their implementation with armasuisse Sciences and technologies and / or industrial partners

What makes you unique

• ETH engineer, physicist or mathematician degree or university degree with several years of professional experience
• Ideally, additional training in project management or long experience in project management or program management
• Initiative, strong sense of service, solution-oriented way of working, ability to assert oneself and strong communication skills
• Good active knowledge of at least a second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language and good knowledge of English

As an electronic operations systems engineer, you work in a small team of specialists in the field of Center of Excellence signals. There, you perform analyses and tests on radio frequency signals, in the laboratory, in the field and by collaborating on projects in the dynamic environment of intelligence and electromagnetics.
