The University of Bern educates over 19'400 students and employs more than 8'000 staff members in around 150 institutes as well as the central area. For these activities, it utilizes an extremely diverse spatial infrastructure distributed across around 130 properties. The Abteilung Betrieb und Technik is responsible for efficient and economical building operations.
In the area of Facility Services with its extensive catalog of services, we are looking for experienced and motivated professionals to complete our facilities teams at Roll-Unitobler (Fabrik- und Länggassstrasse).
Tasks
Ensuring smooth and trouble-free building and university operations on site (building cleaning, disposal, minor maintenance, building security, event management, small moves, access systems, etc.)
Professional operation of the building technology systems and rectification of malfunctions; situational with support from our technical service
As a service-oriented contact person on site, receiving operational orders and concerns from users and solving or forwarding them independently
Conscientious and committed effort for a first-class team result
Weekly on-call standby service on a rotational basis
no personnel management
Your profile
You have professional experience in the facilities management of medium to large properties
The diverse area of responsibility of the facilities management inspires you
With motivation and manual skills, you complete your tasks reliably – in a team and independently
Completed vocational training with a Swiss federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ) in the fields of building technology HLKS, electrical engineering, or facility management.
Good IT user knowledge with Office programs and building automation is an advantage
You are flexible and collegial in covering the location-related operating hours
Good German skills in speaking and writing
