Data Management Specialist for Rankings & Accreditations (m/f/d)

Your tasks

Support ranking activities and ensure data quality

• You prepare ranking data, validate and analyze it, and undertake the operational processing of ranking submissions.
• You coordinate data deliveries with internal departments and ensure a timely and high-quality data basis.

Support accreditations based on data

• You prepare key figures, indicators and evidence for national and international accreditations.
• You support accreditation reporting through the structured preparation and maintenance of relevant documentation, standards and evidence.

Translate data into decision-making bases

• You develop and maintain meaningful dashboards and reports with Power BI.
• You combine data from different sources, prepare it and ensure its quality and consistency.
• You create target-group-oriented analyses and visualizations to support the quality development and data-based decision-making processes of the HSG.

Your profile

Required

• University degree (Master's): preferably in social sciences, economics, educational sciences, Data Science, statistics or a comparable subject with a focus on empirical or quantitative methods
• Experience in ranking, accreditation and/or quality assurance processes in a higher education context or sound experience in dealing with research, higher education or education data
• Solid BI/data competence: Power BI (data modeling, dashboards), data preparation (SQL, advanced Excel), data quality
• Ability to create target-group-oriented decision-making bases from data
• Very good German and good English skills

Advantageous

• In-depth BI knowledge (Power Query, Python or R)
• Experience with higher education or education data (ranking, survey, publication data)
• Experience in the higher education environment

The Service Center for Quality Development of the University (HSG) is part of the Quality and Sustainability division in the Pro-Rectorate for Innovation and Quality. Our tasks include conducting accreditations, supporting ranking activities, the further development and implementation of evaluations, the provision of monitoring tools, analyses and reports for program management and informed decision-making processes as well as ensuring linguistic consistency. With our services, analyses and information, we support sound decisions, make developments and successes visible and promote the continuous further development of the HSG.
