Responsible for the operation and maintenance of MS-SQL databases, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of existing MS-SQL instances
Ensure the execution of maintenance work, backups, and restorations
On-call service for database operation, participation in the standby service to ensure operational stability and rapid troubleshooting
Setup of MS-SQL on Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS), support in the conception, implementation, and migration of MS-SQL databases to the container platform RHOS
Operation of PostgreSQL on RHOS, ensure the takeover of the operation and further development of PostgreSQL databases on RHOS
Take over monitoring, performance tuning, and error analysis in the container environment
Guarantee documentation and know-how transfer
What makes you unique
Degree from a University of Applied Sciences (FH or HF) in the field of computer science, business informatics, or systems engineering
Several years of experience as an MS-SQL database engineer; experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (especially RHOS)
Ideally certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, or PostgreSQL Professional Certification
Experience in scripting and automation, PowerShell, Bash, if applicable, automation of operational processes and monitoring, CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins), integration of database deployments into DevOps processes, and knowledge of the Agile method «Safe» (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
Good knowledge of an official language as well as knowledge of a second official language required
