It establishes the basis for transparent financial management of ETH Zurich and is responsible for the design of financial steering and control systems as well as the unification and standardization of controlling processes across ETH. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an engaged person with strong analytical skills and a digital affinity, starting immediately or by agreement, as a Controller with specialization in digitalization (m/f/d), who will actively participate in the development of controlling at ETH Zurich. Job Description ## • In your role as a controller with specialization in digitalization, you will actively contribute to the financial management of one of Europe's leading technical universities, accompany strategic projects and integrate new technologies into daily financial management. • You ensure the efficient use of resources and create transparency through in-depth financial analyses, relevant management information and decision-making bases adapted to the recipients. You analyze complex financial contexts, identify areas for action and derive concrete recommendations. • You actively advance the digitalization of controlling and continuously develop processes, steering logics and control approaches. You participate in cross-functional financial and sectoral projects. • You support the standardization and harmonization of control instruments, data models and internal management tools, contribute to the implementation of BI solutions and automated analyses, and develop modern dashboards in close collaboration with our colleagues in Management Information and Digitalization. • As a central contact person for financial, reporting and analysis questions, you support the departments, central units as well as the school management and bring your expertise in controlling in a pragmatic manner. With different stakeholders, you develop sustainable solutions for modern data-based controlling. Profile ## • University degree in business administration or in management information systems with in-depth knowledge or continuing education in the field of controlling or finance. • Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in controlling. • Solid experience in digitalization, process optimization and SAP as well as in the development of modern AI, BI, reporting or automation solutions. You use digital tools pragmatically to effectively evolve analyses and processes. • Pronounced curiosity and pleasure in questioning existing processes, testing new technologies and developing innovative solutions for modern controlling. • Marked analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to present complex financial facts in a comprehensible, precise and recipient-adapted manner. • Proactive and autonomous personality with a developed sense of teamwork and communication as well as a high requirement for quality. You like working cross-functionally and appreciate exchanges with different stakeholders. • Interest in the particularities of a university environment, sensitivity to different interest groups as well as excellent knowledge of German and English.
