Cutting Manager & Deputy Operations Manager

We are looking for a Cutting Manager & Deputy Operations Manager within our steel framework workshop.

Reporting to the Steelwork Operations Manager, you are responsible for the organization and smooth running of the cutting sector and actively participate in production management. As a deputy, you provide support to the Operations Manager in daily operational management and ensure their replacement in case of absence.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Management of the cutting sector

Organize and plan the sector's activity, allocate resources, establish and monitor detailed planning, monitor production progress and implement necessary corrective measures, hours and productivity, while guaranteeing the availability of materials, files and production means.

• Quality and safety management

Ensure compliance with quality requirements, the EN 1090 standard, production procedures and safety rules. Ensure the monitoring of non-conformities and the implementation of corrective actions.

• Management and development of employees

Supervise and support the team, organize the integration and training of new employees, develop versatility and ensure the monitoring of skills and performance.

• Continuous improvement

Actively participate in AICs and Lean processes, identify improvement opportunities and ensure the implementation and monitoring of actions within your scope.

• Intersectoral coordination

Ensure the fluidity of flows between the different production sectors, anticipate downstream needs, identify bottlenecks and coordinate the necessary resources.

• Deputy Operations Manager

Support the Operations Manager in daily operational management and ensure their replacement in case of absence, within the framework of the delegations granted. Contribute to the global coordination of activities and the continuity of production.

We are looking for an organized, autonomous and solution-oriented person, with proven experience in an industrial production environment, ideally in steel construction.

The following skills are required:

• Technical or professional training in the field of mechanics, metallurgy, industrial production or training deemed equivalent
• Proven experience in an industrial production environment
• Experience in team management or supervision
• Good knowledge of production processes and flow management
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to manage priorities and make operational decisions
• Analytical mindset and ability to seek solutions
• High sensitivity to quality and safety requirements
• Strong interest in continuous improvement and Lean methods
• Leadership, autonomy and sense of responsibility
• Good communication and coordination skills
