Specialty Chef – Indonesian Cuisine (100 %)

We are opening a new, family-run restaurant with authentic Indonesian cuisine on the Zürichsee-Goldküste and are looking for an experienced specialist to strengthen our kitchen team. Your tasks: • Independent preparation of traditional Indonesian dishes, especially the regional cuisines of Sumatra and Java • Production of traditional Bumbu spice pastes from scratch • Application of traditional cooking methods (long-term braising, steaming in banana leaves) • Collaboration in the composition and further development of the Rijsttafel menu • Compliance with hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP) Requirements: • Completed culinary training as well as several years of professional experience as a chef • Proven, several years of experience in the Indonesian regional cuisine of Sumatra and/or Java • Good German or English skills for teamwork • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays • Teamwork skills, reliability, and high quality standards Advantageous: • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian spice theory and food culture • Knowledge of the Indonesian language (not a must) We offer: • Employment according to the conditions of the L-GAV Gastgewerbe • An exciting build-up phase in a new, authentic restaurant concept • A small, dedicated team in a family-run business
