The SIPE ###

recognized by the Canton of Wallis, fulfills official mandates in the following areas: sexual health, pregnancy and perinatality, couple and family counseling, sex education, as well as Aidshilfe. Through its five centers, our institution is present in both language regions and works closely with partners from the medical, social, pedagogical and legal fields to ensure needs-based support for the population.

We are looking for the social counseling area

around childbirth a(n)

Social Worker 60% - 70% ##

Workplace: Zentrum Brig

Start date: 1 December 2026 or by arrangement

Your tasks:

• Social counseling, support and accompaniment of pregnant persons and their relatives during the time of pregnancy, childbirth, and especially in the first year after childbirth;
• Information and accompaniment regarding social, socio-economic and legal aspects in connection with pregnancy and parenthood (labor law, social insurance, possibilities of financial and material support, social issues, etc.);
• Preparing applications for financial support;
• Cooperation with the internal cantonal sector of perinatality;
• Active cooperation with the network;
• Writing articles and information documents in the topic area of pregnancy and parenthood;

Your profile:

• FH degree in Social Work (with specialization in social work preferred), ideally with experience in pregnancy counseling;
• Further training in perinatality (CAS) or willingness to complete this training;
• At least 5 years of professional experience;
• Independence, organizational talent, resilience and ability to work in a team;
• German as a first language, knowledge of the French language, English language is an advantage;
• Proficiency in common IT applications

For the Aidshilfe sector in the area of sex work we are looking for

Social Worker 30% ##

Your tasks

• Social counseling and accompaniment of sex workers in Oberwallis
• Information and support with personal and professional challenges, administrative matters and reorientation;
• Outreach prevention work (outreach work) for sexual health at the locations where sex work is practiced
• Cooperation with the internal cantonal sector of the SIPE as well as with the other sectors
• Active cooperation with the network
• Implementation of measures according to the cantonal law on prostitution (ProstG)
• Administrative management of the area of responsibility.

Your profile

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent training
• Further training in sexual health is an advantage
• German as a first language, good knowledge of Spanish, knowledge of French is an advantage
• An open and appreciative attitude
• Ability to adapt to changed circumstances (outreach work / Outreach-Arbeit);
• Independent, organized and flexible way of working
• Confident handling of common IT tools (MS Office)
• Driver's license and own car available.
