The Valspar (Switzerland) Corporation AG is a group company of the globally active Sherwin-Williams Group based in Cleveland (Ohio, USA). The Sherwin-Williams Company was founded in 1866 and is a world leader in the manufacture, development, distribution, and sale of paints, coatings, and related products to industrial, commercial, and retail customers.

We are currently looking for a motivated and reliable operations employee for a fixed-term assignment of 3 months in the Zurich area.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance with all legal requirements regarding occupational safety and health protection; wearing prescribed protective clothing in defined areas.
Operation and monitoring of the assigned machine or the production process to ensure production goals.
Efficient and qualitatively flawless execution of the production and filling processes according to specifications and SOPs.
Close cooperation with supervisors, planning, and adjacent areas (e.g., technology, filling/packaging, quality).
Ensuring quality controls during the entire production process.
Order and cleanliness (incl. 5S) at the workplace during the entire shift.
Substitution of other operators during absences as well as support in other areas as needed.
Active participation in improvement measures and constructive exchange of information within the team.

Qualifications

FORMAL EDUCATION:
Completed school education (secondary level) or equivalent training
Good German and mathematics skills

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Experience in production or manufacturing environments
Good communication skills
Very good German skills, at least level B1
High adaptability
Knowledge of COSHH/COMAH is an advantage (if required)

TECHNICAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to follow work or mixing instructions precisely
Physical resilience: repeated lifting of bags up to 25 kg during the shift
Prolonged standing during work
Manual movement and lifting of raw materials
Use of manual pallet trucks to transport products and IBCs
Walking between different production areas
Manual movement of pipes and barrels
