L-EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory with a total of 1-000 beds. The organization allows for the effective combination of a local approach and an overview, guaranteeing the population a global and local hospital offering, regardless of where services are required.
Thanks to the commitment and competence of the over 6-500 collaborators and their attention towards human relationships, l-EOC ensures quality healthcare by taking care of over 41'000 inpatient patients per year and providing over 600'000 outpatient consultations.

The Internal Medicine Service of the Ospedale Regionale di Lugano carries out its clinical activity at the Ospedale Civico site, where it has approximately 90 dedicated inpatient beds. The Service ensures both a local function for the population of the Lugano region and a role as a cantonal reference center for complex pathologies. Annually, approximately 4-000 patients are admitted in inpatient form. The Service is certified as a category A professional training center for Internal Medicine.

Profile: ##

The person we are looking for is motivated to offer patients coordinated, rational care attentive to their needs, collaborating in an academic, interdisciplinary, and multiprofessional environment. Interest in training, efficiency in work, sense of responsibility, and spirit of collegiality complete the profile of the candidate.

Necessary requirements: ##

• Swiss state examination in human medicine or equivalent foreign degree;
• For doctors with foreign titles, recognition of the title by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions (MEBEKO) and registration in MedReg is mandatory at the time of application.
• Work experience in Internal Medicine of at least one year gained in Switzerland constitutes a preferential qualification.
• Proven knowledge of the Italian language with relative certification in MedReg before the start of activity (level B2); knowledge of other national languages and English is desired.
