With a workforce of more than 750 people, the Groupement SIS (Service d’incendie et de secours) intervenes to save lives and fight all types of disasters, placing victims at the center of its concerns at all times.

The Service's workforce consists of professional and volunteer firefighters, paramedics, and alarm and dispatch center operators; it also includes personnel in charge of administrative, technical, and logistical tasks who contribute through their support to the excellence of rescue operations.

In order to complete its logistics team, the SIS school is looking for:

Your mission and responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of the Head of the logistics team of the Groupement SIS school, you manage the maintenance of equipment, consumables, and tools of the school. In this context, you ensure the receipt, shipment, provision, and storage of goods, you study requests for the acquisition of new equipment and control its quality upon arrival. You take care of minor maintenance of the equipment and its upkeep. You perform specific logistical and support tasks that may involve driving Service vehicles. You prepare various equipment orders, perform various light maintenance work within the school infrastructures and green spaces. You ensure the monitoring of the proper execution of work carried out by contractors. You collaborate in maintaining the operational readiness of respiratory protection equipment. You perform administrative tasks upon request such as the study of quotes, stock management using standard computer software.

Your profile:

You hold a CFC in logistics or a technical profession or training deemed equivalent as well as several years of experience in performing activities corresponding to the missions and responsibilities described above. You possess a category B driver's license and preferably also a category C1 and/or C driver's license. You are able to carry loads. Knowing the equipment and environment of firefighters is an asset. You benefit from a solid sense of practicality and great manual dexterity.

Your availability allows you to ensure on-call services during the night and public holidays according to a forward planning. You are rigorous, autonomous, flexible and are able to work both alone and within a team. You are receptive to the requests or needs of the public and know how to adapt accordingly.

You are domiciled in the canton of Genève or in the authorized domicile area.
