The museum also holds an extraordinary collection of works on paper, in particular the Cabinet cantonal des estampes, the Fondation Planque and the Fondation Oskar Kokoschka. In your capacity as collections technician, under the responsibility of the lead collections technician and the head of the technical pole, you will collaborate with them as well as with the museum's conservation team. In this role, you are in particular responsible for the following main tasks: • Ensure the preventive conservation of the collections • Perform packaging, framing and conservation supports • Manufacture and maintain technical equipment related to the collections • Participate in the installation and dismantling of exhibitions • Manage the packaging, transport and logistics of the works • Ensure the management of the workshop, the storage areas and technical resources • Contribute to exhibition projects in a collaborative and sustainable approach This position requires: • CFC in a technical profession or equivalent deemed experience • Proven experience in a similar position, preferably in a museum or cultural institution • Good knowledge of conservation standards and techniques • Mastery of the handling of works of art and framing techniques • Knowledge in the field of restoration of works on paper, an asset • Rigor, meticulousness, sense of responsibility, organizational qualities and perfect autonomy • Ability to adapt and spirit of collaboration • Ease with common IT tools This function involves irregular working hours and a variable distribution of the activity rate, depending on the workload related to exhibitions.
