As part of the development of its activities Automation Engineer As part of the development of its activities, our client, a Swiss industrial company active in the design and implementation of special machines with high technological value, wishes to strengthen its team and recruit an Automation Engineer. Operating in an international environment and working on equipment developed specifically according to the needs of its customers, the company offers the opportunity to join a specialized technical team and participate in complex industrial projects, from the design phase to system validation. Automation Engineer YOUR MISSIONS Within the technical team in charge of automation systems, you will notably intervene on the following missions: Design and develop the automation systems of the machines. Participate in technical feasibility studies. Participate in the drafting of functional specifications and technical specifications. Develop and program industrial controllers. Define, prepare, and perform functional tests. Carry out the fine-tuning and optimization of programs. Validate the conformity of programs with respect to customer requirements and applicable standards. Ensure traceability and management of different program versions using tools such as Git and SVN. Guarantee the archiving of programs and documentation in accordance with quality procedures. Participate in the drafting and updating of technical documentation. Collaborate actively with the different professions involved in the design and development of machines. Participate in the Agile organization of the team. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing the methods, tools, and processes of the department. YOUR PROFILE To succeed in this function, you ideally possess the following skills and experiences: Master HES/EPF or equivalent higher education, with a specialization in automation, control systems, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the field of special machines. Solid skills in industrial automation and PLC programming. Good knowledge of control electronics and industrial computing. Good understanding of multidisciplinary industrial environments. Knowledge in one or more complementary fields: electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, or mechanics. Experience with testing, validation, and commissioning processes of automated systems. Experience in an industrial environment subject to high requirements in terms of quality, documentation, and traceability constitutes a real advantage. ENVIRONMENT \& TOOLS You will be required to operate in an environment using notably: Git • SVN • MS Office • Power BI • Sage • Therefore • LeanKit as well as Agile working methodologies and structured quality processes.
