You develop and operate Oracle-based solutions for our AVANTI software, which supports blue-light organizations such as police, fire departments, and emergency services in their daily operations. In doing so, you combine functional requirements with stable technical implementation and accompany solutions from conception to productive operation. Working in an experienced team of database specialists, you work independently with a large degree of creative freedom, actively contribute your expertise, and maintain close exchange with development, project management, and customers. Your contribution ensures that our systems remain reliable, performant, and highly available.

Job Highlights

• Installation, configuration, and operation of Oracle databases on Windows
• Monitoring, performance optimization, as well as backup and recovery processes
• Planning and implementation of release changes and migrations during ongoing operations
• Collaboration on the conception, development, and implementation of software solutions in the authority and rescue environment
• Advising development and project management on Oracle and database topics, as well as ensuring stable operation around the clock including regular on-call duty, including analysis and rectification of complex malfunctions and continuous optimization of the system landscape

Your Skills

• Several years of experience as an Oracle database specialist in a corporate environment
• Very good knowledge of operation, administration, troubleshooting, and tuning of Oracle databases
• Experience with release changes, migrations, and high-availability solutions including software change management
• Degree (Uni/FH/HF) in computer science or equivalent qualification; experience in data modeling and software development; knowledge of other relational databases is an advantage
• Independent, structured, and reliable in collaboration
• Communicative, team player, and with a high sense of quality
• Curious and committed, you approach topics pragmatically and constantly optimize solutions
• Very good German and good English; French is an advantage
