Dial Varnishing/Painting Technician - Expatriation Thailand

As part of its international development, our client wishes to strengthen its varnishing department, composed of approximately 15 people. This position is aimed at a hands-on person capable of resolving technical issues, stabilizing production and durably structuring the department's knowledge, while bringing real expertise in application, shade adjustment and mastery of varnishing processes.

Desired Profile

• Solid experience in varnishing, painting or lacquering, ideally in the field of watchmaking dials or a high quality requirement industrial environment
• Very good mastery of preparation, formulation and color mixing processes, shade adjustment, paint / varnish application and aesthetic control
• Ability to intervene concretely on the ground to resolve production problems, adjust application parameters and secure the output of parts
• Appreciated knowledge in calibration, first-level maintenance and proper functioning of varnishing equipment
• Experience in structuring processes, writing standards, implementing procedures and capitalizing on know-how
• Strong interest in transmission, team training and building lasting expertise within a department
• Rigor, autonomy, practical sense, solution orientation and ability to work in an international environment
• Professional English appreciated

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose varnishing / painting / lacquering issues and implement concrete solutions in order to guarantee the output of compliant parts
• Stabilize, structure and formalize standards related to preparation, color mixing, shade adjustment, application and varnishing control
• Master application parameters, notably spraying, layer regularity, varnish thickness and prevention of aesthetic defects
• Ensure proper adjustment, calibration and monitoring of varnishing equipment, in connection with the relevant teams
• Implement a robust technical knowledge base in order to capitalize on know-how and avoid its loss over time
• Support the industrialization and reliability of the varnishing department, in a logic of a sustainable and reproducible process
• Train, transmit and support the team of approximately 15 people, while collaborating with the Quality, Methods, Industrialization and Production departments
