Internship Student Social Welfare Office Internship Student 70 - 100% The Cantonal Social Welfare Office, with over 280 employees, undertakes diverse, controlling, and operative tasks primarily in social assistance, social insurance, with social institutions, and in the asylum sector at the interface between the Confederation, other cantons, cities, municipalities, and various private organizations. Furthermore, it operates its own institution, tilia, which has over 119 residential and employment places, divided into 11 residential groups and 5 atelier areas. The locations are Rheinau, Winterthur, Embrach, and Freienstein. tilia cares for, accompanies, and promotes adults with cognitive and/or mental impairments. For our residential groups in Rheinau, Freienstein, Embrach, and Winterthur, we are looking for, by or after agreement, fixed-term between 6 -12 months, one internship student 70-100% each. Your main tasks You will get to know the care concept of the respective residential group, work actively in everyday life, and promote the practical life skills and resources of the residents You support and accompany the residents individually in managing everyday life, promoting their independence and social competencies You maintain contacts with external bodies You help shape a positive residential group environment, support the achievement of goals, ensure appropriate interventions in psychiatric or somatic emergencies, and take over administrative as well as domestic tasks Your skills and talents You are a student in a Bachelor's degree program in Social Work You are interested in working with mentally and/or cognitively impaired adults and are prepared to deal with the requirements of everyday care You are a responsible, resilient, and independent personality and bring flexibility and teamwork skills What you can expect Careful introduction to the work as well as a versatile, demanding field of activity Professional and individual support by a practical trainer Regular team meetings, reports, and supervisions Interesting development opportunities and cantonal employment conditions Your application Further information will be gladly provided by Pani, Specialist Service Education, Tel. .
