The Asset Management of Zürcher Kantonalbank is the second largest provider in Switzerland with over CHF 353 billion assets-under-management (as of 31.07.2026) and around 280+ investment experts. We offer all institutional asset management services for financial service providers, companies, foundations, and pension institutions. Our sustainability and pension expertise is particularly internationally recognized.

In the mortgage area, we are responsible for direct Swiss mortgage portfolios for institutional clients and are continuously developing our offering. You will take on a central role in portfolio management and actively shape the further development of our mortgage business.

Your tasks

• Portfolio Management in the area of Hypotheken Schweiz
• Development, implementation, and further development of the investment strategy
• Management of the mortgage portfolio (cash flows, lending policy, capital calls, assessment of mortgage credit applications and mutations, etc.)
• Further development of processes and systems for the further professionalization of the area
• Close cooperation with internal interfaces (including sales, risk, legal, fund management, IT)
• Maintenance and expansion of relationships with intermediaries, servicing partners, and other market participants
• Winning communication with investors as well as preparation and execution of presentations
• Creation of decision-making bases, reportings, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders

Your profile

• University degree at a university or technical college in economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a comparable field; further education is an advantage (e.g., CFA, AZEK)
• Several years of experience in portfolio management, ideally in the mortgage or real estate environment
• Passion for the mortgage business and the real estate market
• Affinity/interest in controlling and compliance topics (possibly also deepened through targeted further training)
• Very strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as a systematic, structured way of working
• Pronounced skills in handling data and analyses; programming skills are a plus
• High social competence and team-oriented personality who takes responsibility and drives topics forward independently
• Very good German and English skills; other national languages are an advantage
