BMA Biomedical Analyst Veterinary Medicine Basel

As a Biomedical Analyst, you will work in Basel in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory with a wide spectrum of laboratory examinations for veterinary practices and animal clinics. You will process blood, urine, and stool samples, perform ELISA and microbiological examinations, and microscopically assess blood and urine samples. The permanent position is to be filled immediately or by arrangement at a workload of 80 to 90 %. Career starters are welcome.

What to expect in this role

• Conducting blood examinations on automated analyzers
• Examination of urine and stool samples as well as performing ELISA tests
• Setting up microbiological examinations
• Microscopic assessment of blood and urine samples
• Processing sample entry and other administrative tasks in the veterinary laboratory
• Collaboration in the ordering system and in organizational laboratory processes

What you bring with you

• Completed training as Dipl. Biomedizinische Analytikerin HF or Dipl. Biomedizinischer Analytiker HF
• For foreign diplomas, corresponding Swiss recognition is required
• Good German skills
• Willingness to work Saturday shifts once or twice per month until approximately 13:00
• Careful and independent way of working
