You know how to provide care. We don't need to explain that to you. Perhaps you would like to use your experience differently in the future: less classic bedside nursing, more case management, counseling, and personal responsibility. And all this in a working model that is not exactly standard in nursing.

For an established organization in the outpatient care sector in the Basel region, we are looking for an experienced Case-leading Nursing Specialist HF/FH 80–100% - Out of the shift carousel. Into case management... to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your task:

You accompany people who are cared for at home, as well as their relatives. In doing so, you are not simply an executing nursing specialist, but a technical contact person, consultant, and coordinator.

You

• clarify nursing situations and individual needs
• create and review nursing plans
• advise, instruct, and accompany relatives
• ensure the technical quality of care
• document cleanly and promptly
• coordinate with doctors and other involved agencies if necessary
• take on a significant administrative portion
• perform occasional practical nursing and on-call services

The focus is clearly on case management, counseling, coaching, and organization. Not on classic shift work at the bedside.

What you bring with you:

• You have a nursing diploma HF/FH/DNII/AKP recognized in Switzerland and bring several years of professional experience
• Ideally, you are already familiar with outpatient care from your own experience. Spitex practice is therefore a big plus

Equally important are:

• independent and structured way of working
• good communication skills
• enjoyment of counseling and accompaniment
• confidence in administration and documentation
• organizational skill and healthy pragmatism
• Driving license category B
• good IT user knowledge
• French language skills would be an additional trump card
• And yes: life experience certainly does not hurt in this function.

What makes this position special

Here, nursing knowledge, counseling, field service, and administration combine. The activity takes place basically from Monday to Friday. This brings a working rhythm that many nursing specialists certainly appreciate after years in shift operation. The position is not entirely 'away from the bed'. But significantly further away from the classic nursing everyday life than many other functions. Perhaps you don't want to leave nursing at all. Perhaps you just want to work in it differently.
