What you can contribute

• Operate and develop the data compliance management system (DCMS), increase its implementation within the organization and monitor its effectiveness
• Continue the development of governance principles, guidelines, roles and processes, and transpose them into operational systems and procedures
• Identify and assess data compliance risks and support the implementation of appropriate measures to control them
• Perform and develop risk-based reviews and assessments, derive improvement measures and ensure follow-up
• Lead or support projects and change measures at the intersection of law, organization and IT; advise management areas and specialized units regarding data compliance requirements
• Design and implement training, awareness and communication measures

What makes you unique

• University degree at master's level or equivalent training and solid knowledge of data and information protection law
• At least five years of practical experience in compliance and governance; solid experience in developing and implementing governance structures, standards, roles and processes or compliance management systems
• For this governance and development-focused position, we are particularly looking for a person with extensive experience in audits and the internal control system (ICS); ideally, experience in risk management
• Excellent understanding of data, information systems and business processes, as well as their legal and organizational context
• Experience in leading or supporting complex projects and change measures in the fields of compliance and governance; ability to quickly identify complex issues, structure them and present them in a way adapted to the recipients
• Good oral and written knowledge (at least level B2) of two official languages as well as English

To strengthen our team, we are looking for two experienced data compliance specialists. Both positions involve similar tasks, but with different areas of expertise. The first is intended for a specialist possessing extensive experience in governance and development related to audits and the internal control system (ICS). The second is aimed at a specialist with extensive experience in the implementation and organizational deployment of data compliance

The Data Compliance Division of fedpol ensures that data is processed securely, legally and responsibly throughout its life cycle. It is responsible for the implementation, operation and development of the data compliance management system (DCMS) across the office and develops the governance, audit and control structures necessary for this purpose.
