In the crisis intervention center, people in acute mental crises are treated as inpatients in an open and needs-oriented setting. This can involve both crises without pre-existing mental illness as well as crisis-like exacerbations of existing mental disorders; crisis intervention focuses on the crisis, its triggers, and coping with the currently difficult situation. Crisis intervention is neither diagnosis-specific nor tied to a specific psychotherapy method. A stay in the crisis intervention center is time-limited.

Your tasks

Flexibility and enjoyment of variety are central points. Because that is exactly what working in the KIZ means. The tasks are very varied and are oriented towards the individual and needs-oriented treatment of the patients.

Here are some of the most important points:

• independent and individual nursing and care of the patients during the night shift
• accompanying patients in crisis situations
• complex psychiatric assessments with planning and implementation of further steps
• triage activity for the entire clinic during the night shift
• leading reports
• organization and implementation of diagnostic and therapeutic orders
• maintaining nursing documentation and various administrative tasks within the ward

In the KIZ, we have two night watches per shift, which is why you work together with a healthcare professional.
