The function as Senior Buyer (a) in the cable industry is responsible for the strategic and operational procurement, negotiation, and purchasing of raw materials, components, and finished products required for cable manufacturing and distribution. Ideally, this position requires an understanding of the cable industry, including knowledge of suppliers, materials, and market trends. The function ensures that all purchases meet quality standards, are cost-efficient, and are delivered on time to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Your tasks Responsible for the operational and strategic procurement and supply management of an assigned raw material portfolio for the manufacture of high, medium, and low voltage cables as well as other important components for cable production, taking into account supply security and cost optimization Development and implementation of category strategies for assigned material groups Analysis of international procurement markets and identification of new procurement opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and value creation opportunities. Controlling the entire procurement process for the assigned materials, including requirements analysis and placement of orders as well as the associated follow-up activities Building and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers Support with audits and internal controls Your profile Training in a technical or business administration field as well as a good technical understanding 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in purchasing. Experience in industrial manufacturing is preferred Proven experience in the areas of strategic sourcing, supplier development, and procurement optimization initiatives.
