As a result of a vacancy, the Gemeinde Emmen is looking for a committed, service-oriented, and team-capable personality in the Directorate of Social Affairs and Society, in the social assistance department, starting from 15 December 2026.

Social Worker Economic Social Assistance 60-100% (a) ##

Where you can make an impact ###

• You advise and support individuals and families in personal and financial matters.
• You manage social assistance files and clarify applications as well as entitlements to economic social assistance.
• You conduct advisory and clarification interviews and coordinate social insurance law entitlements.
• You work in a networked manner with internal and external specialist offices and contact persons.

What you bring with you ###

• Completed training in Social Work (FH).
• Experience in statutory social work is an advantage.
• Very good MS Office and administrative skills.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and exact way of working as well as networked thinking.
• Resilient, team-capable personality with quick comprehension and good manners.
