Head of Training (80-90%), member of the general management The Swiss Refugee Council (OSAR) is the leading organization providing aid to refugees in Switzerland and the umbrella organization for aid works and organizations for refugees. OSAR defends the rights of people seeking protection and promotes understanding of their situation. Through its expertise, it shapes public discourse and exerts influence on social conditions and departments. The Training department organizes practice-oriented training events, awareness actions, as well as conferences intended for adults and young people throughout Switzerland. It offers a unique range combining the testimonies and skills of staff members who have experienced exile, the training team, and specialists in the field of asylum. We are looking for a commitment starting from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement for a Head of Training (80–90%), member of the general management Possibility of co-management Berne / Lausanne (100%) In this captivating and strategic management position, you will actively participate in decisions determining the future of the Swiss Refugee Council (OSAR) and represent its training work at the national level. With your team, you will design offers that raise public awareness, transmit knowledge, develop skills, bring together perspectives, and contribute significantly to informing the population for a solidary and non-discriminatory society. In this mission, you take charge of: the financial, strategic, and conceptual direction of the department; the personnel management and development of the bilingual French-German training team, composed of nine people at the Berne and Lausanne sites as well as the 35 female and male collaborators who have experienced exile; innovative, targeted, and needs-adapted development of the training portfolio and the promotion of the offers; quality assurance (eduQua); the management and strategic and organizational development of OSAR, in your capacity as a member of the general management. We are looking for a committed, enterprising personality driven by a will to act for this demanding position, who also meets the following criteria: a higher education degree of master's type and several years of professional experience in adult or youth training; experience in the management and direction of a team according to agile principles; excellent strategic and analytical skills; knowledge of the Swiss asylum field and/or human rights; skills in transculturality, in diversity management, and in the fight against discrimination. You have a team spirit and can work autonomously. You communicate in an open and convincing manner in two national languages (German/French). You resist stress well and demonstrate flexibility.
