Your contribution

• Guarantee the required performance of the J23 sector within the framework of planning and conducting employment for the subsidiary employments of the army
• Collaborate in the planning of operations and employments at the operational level in Switzerland and abroad as well as in the elaboration of the information service concept and specialist orders addressed to the direct subordinates of the Head of Operations Command and the Large Units
• Guarantee at the operational level the implementation of the SINF order date and the coordination of information research in the integrated civil-military information network during the situation monitoring phase
• Guarantee the analysis and assessment of the threat, the contextualization of the possibilities as well as the capabilities and intentions of the opposing party and the assessment of the threat from the environment and the context in the process of planning and monitoring the situation of the Cdo Op
• Assume responsibility regarding the provision of services by the J23 sector during the absences of the Head of J23 Op and be ready to represent, if necessary, the Head of J23 Op in the management and steering committees of the SIM and the SPPEs as well as in the action planning group of the staff of the Cdo Op staff

What distinguishes you

• University diploma at master's level or equivalent training, preferably in the legal, economic, history or political science field
• Staff officer or company commander, ideally with a proposal for the General Staff
• Two or three years of professional experience and/or employment experience in peace promotion service
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think in a systemic and conceptual way, high resistance to stress, autonomy and sense of responsibility
• Active knowledge of at least two official languages and excellent knowledge of English

The Operations Command (Cdo Op) is responsible for all operations and all military employments of the Swiss Army. This includes, among others, the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence center, the special forces command and the military police. About 40 percent of the nearly 2500 collaborators are civilian employees: from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9000 collaborators within the framework of four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory. Furthermore, it provides for new recruits, training apprentices in over 30 professions.
