For our operational purchasing department, we are looking for a committed person who will reliably supply our production with materials and components. In this pivotal role, you will connect suppliers, production planning, technical, quality, logistics, finance, and strategic purchasing.

What you will do

• Verify needs and order proposals in the ERP, place orders, and follow up on order confirmations
• Actively monitor delivery dates, quantities, and backlogs, and escalate effectively in case of discrepancies
• Manage bottlenecks in collaboration with production planning, technical, quality, logistics, and strategic purchasing
• Obtain offers for operational needs and compare and award within defined competencies
• Clarify differences in price, lead times, and quantities, as well as resolve billing discrepancies with suppliers and finance
• Coordinate complaints and returns in close collaboration with quality management
• Maintain correctly and up-to-date master data relating to materials, orders, and suppliers relevant to purchasing
• Ensure compliance with approved suppliers, contracts, conditions, drawing versions, and procurement processes

What you bring

• Basic training in a technical or commercial environment, ideally supplemented by continuing education in purchasing or supply chain management
• Experience in operational purchasing, planning, or materials management in an industrial company
• Technical understanding, proficiency in ERP, and good mastery of Microsoft 365
• Very good knowledge of German as well as practical English
• Structured and reliable way of working, ability to persuade, and pleasure in collaborating cross-functionally
