The main IT department of the canton of Glaris is the central IT competence and service center of the cantonal administration. It ensures the reliable operation and continuous development of IT and accompanies the administration in digital transformation.

To strengthen the Projects & Application Management service, we are looking for an experienced and committed person as

IT Applications Manager 80-100 %

to be filled immediately or by arrangement, workplace Glarus.

Tasks

• Responsibility for the operation, development, and support of the CMI and PrimeDocs applications
• Analysis and resolution of errors, maintenance, and optimization of assigned applications in collaboration with internal and external IT partners
• Coordination of requests and changes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Development of application architecture or implementation of specific client requirements
• Participation in various IT projects as well as autonomous implementation of small IT projects
• Writing of documentation and conducting training for our users
• Mutual replacement of application managers and ensuring continuous follow-up and availability of the supported applications

Requirements

• Training in IT, business informatics, or a comparable field, ideally with continuing education at HF or FH level
• Professional experience in the operation and support of enterprise applications (ideally with CMI and PrimeDocs)
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, particularly in interaction with applications
• Organizational and planning skills as well as implementation capacity
• Autonomous, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team and with different client groups
• Service- and client-oriented personality
