School social work is a neutral and low-threshold counseling center for students, parents, and teachers. It provides support with personal, social, and school-related challenges and makes an important contribution to a positive school climate, to prevention, and to equal opportunities.

To complement our team, we are looking for an engaged and professionally competent personality as

School Social Worker 50 - 70% (temporary) ##

starting immediately or by arrangement,
temporary until 31.01.2027.

Your Tasks

As a school social worker, you are a neutral contact point for students, parents, and teachers. You support children and young people in their individual social and school development.

• Counseling and support of students, parents, and teachers regarding personal, social, and school-related issues - individually or in groups
• Implementation of class interventions for social, interpersonal, or group dynamic topics
• Coordination and cooperation with school management as well as with teachers
• Planning and implementation of projects in the school environment
• Interdisciplinary cooperation and networking with the school, regional specialist centers, other areas of the municipality, as well as other external specialists
• Maintaining the necessary files and case documentation
• Collaboration on annual reports and projects
• Participation in team meetings, supervisions, and internal case discussions

Your Profile

• Completed studies Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science in Social Work (FH) and several years of professional experience in social work, ideally in a comparable function
• Experience in the school environment, counseling and supporting children, young people, and their reference persons
• Empathic and appreciative personality with the ability to quickly build professional relationships with children, young people, and their reference persons
• Good comprehension and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with different and demanding tasks
• Independent, structured, and responsible way of working
• Strong communication skills, resilience, flexibility, and teamwork skills
• Confident and solution-oriented appearance
