Scientific Collaborator in the field of ecological restoration of hydropower

Your contribution

• Handle the evaluation and financing of restoration projects in the field of fish migration in the competent Cantons of French-speaking Switzerland
• Provide support and consultancy to the competent Cantons of French-speaking Switzerland (and other interest groups) regarding fish migration
• Serve, as a specialist and reference person, as a technical interlocutor for issues relating to the ecological restoration of obstacles to fish migration (barriers, hydroelectric plants, locks, sills, etc.)
• Ensure the preparation as well as the further development of the bases for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of measures relating to longitudinal interconnection and the restoration of hydropower
• Coordinate, at the federal level, the implementation of the action plan for the protection of the Doubs (in the sectors of hydropower restoration, fishing, and water protection)

What distinguishes you

• University degree or degree from a university of applied sciences in water ecology (biology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering) or training as a hydraulic engineer, with good knowledge in the field of water ecology and/or fishing
• Professional experience in the field of water ecology (design, supervision, or implementation of projects), if possible in the field of ecological restoration of hydropower
• Experience and interest in the research, development, and evaluation of restoration measures in the field of fish migration
• Professional experience and in project management in a scientific, administrative, or specialized service context
• Autonomous way of working oriented towards goals and solutions, good communication skills, and team spirit
• Excellent knowledge of French and good active knowledge of German
