IPS Gebäudetechnik AG is an established Swiss company for building technology with around 20 employees and belongs to the European bluu unit. As part of the bluu unit, IPS combines the dynamism of a Swiss SME with the development opportunities of a growing European corporate group.
To further expand in Switzerland, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and hands-on personality as Head of Finance. You can expect a key role with a lot of creative freedom, direct cooperation with the management, and the opportunity to actively further develop the Swiss financial structures.

Your Challenge

• Accounting, Reporting and Tax

You take responsibility for the accounting, reporting, and taxes of the IPS Gruppe (20 employees). Together with one employee in the back office, you ensure reliable financial accounting as well as monthly and annual financial statements according to OR. You remain close to daily business: You understand accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll accounting, check entries in the ERP Messerli yourself if necessary, and ensure that accruals, WIP, intercompany topics, and VAT are correctly represented.

• Forecast, Cash and Liquidity

You develop forecasts as well as cash and liquidity planning and become a sparring partner for the management in financial and entrepreneurial decisions. At the same time, you are the central contact person for the finance organization of the bluu unit.

• Transformation and Scaling

You further develop processes, systems, data structures, and dashboards. In the event of future acquisitions, you help to quickly harmonize the financial processes of new Swiss companies and support their management as a finance partner.

Your Qualities and Talents

• Commercial training with experience in fiduciary or accounting and further training in the finance sector or a Bachelor's degree with relevant practical experience
• At least five years of relevant professional experience in accounting and/or reporting/controlling, ideally in an entrepreneurially oriented SME, growth, or project environment
• Sound knowledge of accounting according to OR as well as high accuracy in monthly and annual financial statements
• Broad finance know-how in accounting, consolidation, VAT, and basic tax issues
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and liquidity planning as well as management reporting
• Good understanding of controlling, KPIs, contribution margin calculations as well as project and service margins
• High IT, AI, and data affinity as well as experience with ERP systems and Excel; initial experience with databases, data models, and/or BI and dashboard solutions is an advantage
• Experience in the optimization and further development of finance processes, ideally combined with digitalization and automation
• High level of initiative and the ambition to identify topics independently, develop solutions, and implement them
• Enjoyment in designing processes and thinking beyond daily business
• Clear, pragmatic communication and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Business fluent German skills; English skills are an advantage
