The Exploitation des sources de spallation group operates two neutron sources at PSI that are unique in the world. In addition to maintenance and upkeep, the continuous development and optimization of these highly complex facilities are part of the central tasks. For the Exploitation des sources de spallation group, we are looking for a Your tasks • Design, construction, and creation of CAD-based documents (3DEXPERIENCE) for extensions, accessories, and devices related to the SINQ and UCN neutron sources • Performance of feasibility studies (e.g., finite element analyses) for the development of new technical components and facilities • Performance of technical studies, evaluations, and development work • Procurement of individual components as well as coordination of assembly and installation work • Maintenance of 3D models and assembly structures of the two neutron sources Your profile • Technical school diploma or university degree in mechanical engineering • Several years of extensive experience in design with CAD systems (ideally CATIA) • Autonomous, structured, and extremely reliable way of working as well as enjoyment in taking on demanding challenges • Good communication and teamwork skills as well as network thinking capacity Very good knowledge of German as well as good knowledge of English, both oral and written We offer Our institute is based on interdisciplinary, innovative, and dynamic collaboration.
