Head of Private Markets (80 - 100%) We are the pension fund of the Confederation. It is important to us that our over 100'000 insured and pension-receiving persons receive secure and good provision services. That's why we invest the assets of around 44 billion francs in a responsible and profitable manner. Private Markets are an important part of PUBLICA's investment strategy. The Private Markets team is responsible for a portfolio of around 8 billion francs, which is well diversified across foreign real estate, private debt investments, and private infrastructure investments. In doing so, it works closely with external asset managers. Our Head of Private Markets is changing internally. That's why we are looking for a Head of Private Markets. Head of Private Markets (80 - 100%) What you can expect You will lead a team of three employees technically, organizationally, and personally and be a member of the Asset Management management team. You will be responsible for portfolio management for Private Markets and achieving the goals in terms of volume, performance, and risk. You will continuously develop the Private Markets strategy further. You will actively participate in the ALM process and identify, analyze, and prioritize new asset classes. Together with your team, you will select external asset managers and investment funds, control and monitor them. You will design and review implementation solutions including mandate structure, guidelines, benchmarks, and investment vehicles. For Private Markets, you will be responsible for the principles of responsible investing and systematically integrate ESG criteria into the investment process. You will work on strategic and operational projects to further develop asset management. For our committees, you will prepare reports and applications. What we expect You have completed a degree (uni / FH) in economics, finance, or law. A specialized further education such as CFA, CAIA, CIIA, or FRM complements your profile. You have several years of professional experience in portfolio management and experience in institutional asset management, particularly in the area of Private Markets. You work in a structured, process-oriented manner, and with a high degree of personal responsibility. You value collegial teamwork and effective collaboration with other departments. You express yourself fluently in German or English and are negotiation-secure in English.
