Tasks

• Professional diagnostics and therapy of language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in neurological patients, especially with tracheostomy tubes
• Development, implementation, and evaluation of individual therapy plans to improve swallowing function and communication skills
• Implementation of measures for decannulation in close cooperation with doctors, nursing staff, and physiotherapists
• Instruction and counseling of patients, relatives, and nursing staff in handling tracheostomy tubes
• Documentation and evaluation of therapy progress according to clinical standards

What should you bring?

• Completed studies in speech therapy (with EDK recognition or willingness to obtain it)
• Certified further training in tracheostomy tube management or willingness to complete it
• Experience in rehabilitative therapy and dysphagia and tracheostomy tube management or interest in professional specialization
• Enjoyment of independent and patient-oriented work in an interprofessional team
• Sense of responsibility, willingness to reflect, as well as high social and communicative competence
• Very good oral and written German and English skills
