Empa is a research institution of the ETH domain. The Real Estate department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of Empa's infrastructure. In addition, it is the joint client representation body of three research institutions of the ETH domain. As a staff position with technical and managerial responsibility, you are the central contact person for organizational development and digitalization - for all three line areas Construction & Projects, Technology & Operations, as well as Management & Services, and overarching for the department as a whole. To this end, you will lead a small team technically and personally. Your tasks ### You identify and implement strategies for organizational development and digitalization and lead and coordinate associated IT and business development projects while complying with quality, schedule, and cost targets. You evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions for process optimization and, in doing so, lead a small team (2-3 employees) technically and personally in the areas of application management and data management. In cooperation with department and division heads, you help develop digitalization strategies and shape the "Immobilienstrategie Empa" in the areas of Business Development and IT. You analyze current and newly emerging requirements from the Confederation, ETH Council, and KBOB regarding the digitalization of real estate management and develop concepts from them for the optimization and digitalization of administrative processes and services for employees and internal customers. Additionally, you advise and train employees in the use of new technologies and support the management with reports and presentations. Your profile ### You have a completed degree in business informatics, business administration, or a related field; additional qualifications in the field of business development or IT management are an advantage. You bring several years of professional experience in business development, ideally in the real estate industry or the public sector, as well as proven experience in leading and implementing IT and digitalization projects. Experience in the technical and personal leadership of employees is an advantage. You are familiar with project management and are proficient in using agile methods and tools. Strong analytical and strategic thinking as well as a high affinity for digital technologies and innovations characterize you, as well as a team- and solution-oriented way of working. You communicate confidently in German and have very good written and spoken English skills. Your workplace is in Dübendorf; you benefit from independent scheduling of your working hours with the possibility of flextime.
