Tasks

• You lead demanding sewer construction projects in the Drainage business unit and actively help shape the future-oriented rainwater management of the City of Zurich.
• You assess sewer construction projects, analyze hydraulic relationships, and conduct technical negotiations with internal departments as well as external partners.
• You develop concepts, strategies, and decision-making bases for hydraulic, structural, and planning issues, using modern analysis and simulation tools in the process.
• You make an important contribution to the further development of the General Drainage Plan (GEP), maintain hydrodynamic models, and coordinate the services of external specialist planners.
• You work closely on a project-related as well as interdisciplinary basis with the Civil Engineering Office, other municipal service departments, and internal working groups.

Profile

• Civil, environmental, or environmental engineer (FH / Uni / ETH)
• In-depth knowledge in hydraulics, urban drainage, and GEP processing, as well as sound experience with hydrodynamic simulation programs and knowledge of databases, ideally scripting languages (e.g., Python)
• Several years of professional experience in the planning, design, and implementation of municipal civil engineering and/or in urban drainage
• Business fluent German in spoken and written form (Level C1)
• Independent and structured way of working, strong stakeholder management, and enjoyment of technically complex issues and their implementation
