Head of Planning and Construction (80 - 100 %)

As Head of Planning and Construction, you hold a key position with significant influence: you shape the architectural and spatial development of our municipality and are the central interlocutor between politics, administration, and the population.

Your tasks

• Operational management of the Planning and Construction department with the Planning, Civil Engineering, Building Service, and Real Estate services
• Responsibility for local and spatial planning issues as well as ongoing and future planning projects
• Advice and support in construction-related matters
• Participation in strategic projects as well as collaboration with other administrative sectors and external partners

Your profile

• Degree in civil engineering, architecture (FH/ETH) or in spatial planning, or comparable tertiary technical training in the field of construction (e.g., HF graduate technician)
• Knowledge of public law and construction law or willingness to undergo training
• Experience in management as well as developed social, communication, and organizational skills
• Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and confidence when facing different interest groups
• Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
• Impeccable command of German and good knowledge of Romansh, both oral and written
