Accountant Securities Accounting

For our client, we are looking for an experienced specialist for the foundation and securities accounting of pension funds. You will take over the independent management of mandates and be responsible for securities accounting, including annual financial statements.

Framework conditions:

• Location: Zürich
• Workload: 80–100 %
• Remote share: Up to 40 %
• Start: 01. November 2026, at the latest 01. December 2026
• Duration of assignment: Expected until 30. April 2027
• Experience level: Senior, more than 5 years of professional experience

Tasks:

• Independent management and administration of securities accounting for pension funds at the mandate level
• Responsibility for mandate management and the processing of annual financial statements in the area of securities accounting
• Maintenance and administration of security master data
• Preparation of data for audits and external statistics
• Processing of withholding tax reclamation claims domestic and abroad
• Creation of evaluations, reports and presentations for foundation boards
• Cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, especially managing directors, investment controllers and financial accounting
• Telephone and written support of customers

Mandatory requirements:

• Commercial basic training with relevant further training
• Several years of experience in securities accounting
• Practical experience in the support of autonomous pension funds
• Very good knowledge of investment products including alternative investments
• Experience in the independent management of mandates and the processing of annual financial statements
• Independent, exact and structured way of working
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Experience with administration systems for pension funds as well as financial and accounting systems

Advantageous:

• Experience with ePOCA
• Experience in the securities accounting of pension schemes or pension funds
• Good English and French skills

The 3 Must-haves:

• Several years of experience in securities accounting and the support of autonomous pension funds
• Independent mandate management and experience with annual financial statements
• Very good knowledge of investment products including alternative investments
