YOUR TASKS

• Care of patients during their stay in the operating room
• Responsibility for the correct and operation-specific positioning of patients according to standards
• Assisting during operations based on established guidelines
• Performance recording, documentation of professional activities
• Assumption of defined administrative and logistical activities
• Support of surgical technology specialists in activities such as e.g., preparing and providing OP material, relief duties
• Ensuring patient safety
• Compliance with rules regarding hygiene and asepsis
• Ensuring perioperative processes
• Handling of medical products and medical devices in the operating room

In your additional function as a vocational trainer, you undertake the following activities:

• Together with the team, you promote the professional and personal development of our students
• With competence and commitment, you accompany them in acquiring new skills and practical competencies
• In doing so, you implement the educational mandate professionally and practically according to the training concept

YOUR PROFILE

• Diploma as a specialist in operating room technology or equivalent foreign qualification with recognition by the Swiss Red Cross
• Professional experience is an advantage, ideally in our focus areas: gynecology/obstetrics, orthopedics, hand and foot surgery, spinal surgery, visceral surgery, urology, and ophthalmology
• Ideally professional experience in the field of education or willingness to acquire it
• Joy in working with students as well as in imparting knowledge in the practical and theoretical areas
• High resilience and flexibility as well as high professional and social competencies
• Committed and open personality who also maintains an overview and remains calm in stressful situations
• Good knowledge of common PC application programs
• Very good German and/or French language skills as well as the ability to communicate in the respective other language
