In order to strengthen its team, the city of Sion is recruiting for the position of Fire protection specialist with AEAI federal diploma M/F activity rate 80-100% within the Population, Security and Airport service. Main missions Within the Population, Security and Airport service, you ensure the implementation of fire prevention measures on the municipal territory and carry out tasks pertaining to the fire police. In this capacity, you are notably required to: analyze building permit requests from the perspective of fire protection and establish the necessary preliminary opinions; control fire protection measures during works and during the reception of buildings; participate in the issuance of permits to use in collaboration with the services concerned; inspect buildings, shops and temporary installations, and prescribe the measures necessary to comply with legal requirements; analyze files related to events and perform the required controls; advise citizens, professionals and institutional partners on fire protection requirements; collaborate closely with the different municipal services, cantonal authorities and external partners. Your profile CFC in a building field or technical training related to construction, accompanied by experience in administrative work; AEAI fire protection specialist federal diploma or training/experience allowing its acquisition; 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar function within a public administration or a private company; confirmed experience in administrative management and the processing of complex files; the very good knowledge of the construction field and ability to read and interpret plans; good mastery of administrative procedures and legal bases related to the position; proficiency with IT tools, notably the MS Office suite; experience with eConstruction constitutes an advantage; ability to work in a team, to defend a position with confidence and to represent the municipal authority with credibility. Also constitute assets: a training as a works director or architect; a title of fire protection expert; experience as a manager within a fire brigade; knowledge of German.
