Veterinary Assistant TPA 70 - 100% Schwyz

Between modern veterinary medicine, personal contact with pet owners, and varied tasks, you will take on a central role in the daily practice routine of an established small animal practice in the Schwyz area in this function. You will support the veterinary medical team with examinations, treatments, and organizational processes and contribute daily to ensuring that both animals and their owners feel professionally cared for and well looked after. At the same time, this position offers you the opportunity to specifically develop your professional interests, build new areas of focus, and actively participate in building a motivated team. The position is available immediately or by arrangement with a workload of 70 to 100 %.

What awaits you in this versatile task

• Organization and management of the reception area as well as being the first contact person for pet owners
• Support with examinations, health checks, and veterinary medical treatments
• Assistance in the surgical area and support of the veterinary team during procedures
• Care and monitoring of inpatient patients
• Administrative tasks such as appointment organization, material orders, and general practice coordination
• Collaboration in various areas of small animal medicine with varied tasks
• Opportunity to actively help shape processes and workflows within a newly forming team

What you bring with you

• Completed training as Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin EFZ / Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent EFZ
• Additional training such as VASTA or interest in professional specialization is an advantage
• Independent, careful, and responsible way of working
