Children and adolescents with special educational needs are holistically supported in mixed small classes, from kindergarten to leaving school, according to their abilities and needs.

At HPS Luzern, we accompany children and adolescents with impairments from kindergarten to leaving school and support them in their overall development. With us, you have the opportunity to effectively use your pedagogical enthusiasm and help shape learning moments every day. The position is fixed-term, but there is an option for an extension. An earlier start is possible by arrangement.

Your tasks

• You support the students in lessons and thus contribute to their individual development.
• In consultation with the teacher, you lead and supervise groups and individual learners through the lessons.
• You promote the integration and independence of learners with autism through individual support in lessons and daily school life.
• You also accompany the children during lunchtime and act as an important reference person.
• You work closely with the teachers and the care and therapy departments.
• You help to create a positive learning climate and intervene supportively if necessary to solve challenges constructively.

Your profile

• You have a pedagogical or psychological education or are currently in a corresponding training.
• With your open and appreciative manner, you meet children and adolescents at eye level.
• You offer needs-based support so that learners with autism can learn successfully and participate in class activities.
• Thanks to your flexibility and resilience, you can adapt well to different situations in daily school life.
• You enjoy working in a team and are interested in various pedagogical and therapeutic approaches.
• In addition, you are motivated to develop professionally and personally and to engage with topics in special education.
