Civil Engineer in structural underground construction ---------------------------------------- The position involves technical responsibility for retaining structures in structural underground construction for new construction and maintenance projects of a large infrastructure organization. Main tasks include the review of project dossiers (from variant studies to construction projects), compliance with technical regulations and qualitative requirements, as well as close cooperation with project managers and supervision specialists. Further responsibilities are the provision of expert services for the assessment of existing structures, strategic and operational consulting, the further development of technical specifications and guidelines, as well as active participation in standard developments and coordination with authorities. The role also includes the initiation and support of research projects for innovation in structural underground construction and the monitoring of retaining structures. Required are a completed degree in civil engineering (FH/Uni/ETH), several years of practical experience in structural underground construction with in-depth knowledge of retaining structures in reinforced concrete and natural stone as well as profound knowledge of the current state of science and technology. Initiative, independence, sense of responsibility and experience in technical leadership are essential. Fluent German skills (at least C1) as well as good Italian or French skills (at least B2) are required.
