We are a special education school with approx. 85 children and adolescents with special educational needs.

We are looking for, as soon as possible or by arrangement, a

Caregiver for individual setting

The work assignment is to be carried out over 4-5 working days during the school weeks, according to the requirements of the school operation. During the school holidays, there are occasional work assignments.

Area of responsibility:

The caregiver accompanies and supports a student from Cycle 1 in an individual 1:1 setting with occasional connection to the class.

In consultation with the teacher, she/he takes on special tasks:

• Supporting and accompanying the student from the autism spectrum
• Cooperation with the class team of the connected class and the therapists
• Interdisciplinary exchange with all specialists involved in the support
• Advising the parents and interdisciplinary exchange with all specialists involved in the support
• Enjoyment of innovation, participation and involvement in school development

Requirements:

• Degree in social/special education
• Enjoyment in dealing with students with a cognitive impairment, behavioral abnormalities and from the autism spectrum
• Experience in dealing with children in the ASD area
• Resilience and confidence in dealing with challenging behavior and crisis situations
• Teamwork skills, resilience, humor and willingness to experiment
• Enjoyment of a diverse and multicultural school
