At the right moment, the green space maintenance team prunes more than 5'000 linear meters of hedges, maintains climbing plants along noise barriers with a total length of 2'500 meters, cares for lawns - embankments or entire parks -, creates colorful areas planted seasonally and thus shapes the unique appearance of the city of Thun. We are looking for a/an ### for 1 March 2027 or by agreement

Your tasks:

• You organize and carry out modifications and renovation work in public spaces
• You professionally maintain park and roadside trees, shrubs, perennial plantings and seasonal flower beds
• You organize and accompany the practical training of our apprentices in green space maintenance
• You lead and organize the group assigned to you and support your superiors professionally
• You are committed to the promotion of biodiversity in municipal green spaces
• You assist with snow removal and ice control, ensure winter permanence if necessary and work in case of staff shortages in other specialized departments of the public works service

You bring:

• Training as a landscaper or green space specialist with several years of professional experience and very good knowledge in garden maintenance, modifications and stonework
• In-depth knowledge of plants as well as tree care
• Driving license category B/L/E as well as good basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
• A completed professional trainer course or the interest to take one is an advantage
• An Oeschberg modular training, gardening and landscaping specialization, or an equivalent training is desired
• Good leadership and organizational skills as well as good manners, reliability and team spirit
