• Advise business lines on issues related to cross-border activities and international sanctions.
• Perform legal and regulatory verifications concerning risks related to the provision of banking and investment services to an international clientele.
• Perform regulatory analyses on sanctions risks across all activities of a universal bank.
• Ensure regulatory monitoring regarding both Swiss requirements and foreign regulations likely to impact the Bank's activities.
• Follow the evolution of sanctions regimes (SECO, OFAC, European Union, United Kingdom etc.) and analyze their operational consequences.
• Support development projects for new markets, products or services by assessing regulatory impacts.
• Respond to requests from various control functions and business lines on complex issues falling within the section's competencies.
• Participate in internal training and contribute to strengthening the compliance culture within the Bank.
• Collaborate with other Compliance, Legal and Risk Management teams on transversal issues.
Your profile ##
• University education (Master or equivalent) in Swiss law, economics, finance, international relations or a similar field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a bank, law firm, consulting firm or other financial institution, acquired in the fields of cross-border activities, international sanctions, banking regulation or Compliance Advisory.
• A legal education or experience as a lawyer is a real asset.
• Good knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to the cross-border activities of Swiss banks as well as Swiss and international sanctions regimes.
• Ability to analyze legal and regulatory texts and to formulate recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis and writing skills.
• Team spirit, autonomy, sense of responsibility and solution orientation.
• Proactive and ability to argue and convince.
