• Responsibility for the operation and further development of our complex high-availability database landscape

What you bring:

• Completed studies in computer science, IT security, or a comparable qualification (e.g., HF, FH or Uni). Certifications in the field of databases or data engineering are an advantage
• Several years of practical experience with high-availability MS SQL Server systems, ideally supplemented by PostgreSQL knowledge or the willingness to acquire it
• Experience with ETL processes and agile development methods
• Expertise in the design, development, and maintenance of solutions on Power platforms (Power Apps, Power BI) or motivation to acquire these
• Independent and solution-oriented way of working, teamwork skills, and strong communication skills
• Very good German and good English skills

The Departement Finanzen und Ressourcen (https://www.ag.ch/de/verwaltung/dfr/ueber-uns/organisation/generalsekretariat) with around 650 employees is responsible as a cross-sectional department for ensuring that the resources necessary for the fulfillment of tasks are available to the canton.

IT solutions facilitate daily work and make it more efficient. To increase the efficiency of the cantonal administration, the employees of the Abteilung Informatik Aargau (https://www.ag.ch/de/verwaltung/dfr/ueber-uns/organisation/informatik-aargau) contribute. They are responsible for the strategy and operation of central IT. They accompany large-scale cantonal projects and ensure powerful and modern IT solutions that enable the public to have uncomplicated contact and exchange with the administrative bodies of the canton.
