On behalf of 28 municipalities with a catchment area of more than 100'000 people, we intervene with great commitment, in an accessible and networked manner in the following areas: child and adult protection authority (KESB), professional guardianship, social counseling, counseling for mothers and fathers, addiction counseling, and school social work. Department Head / Department Head Social Counseling # The Social Counseling and addiction department is versatile and offers a wide range of counseling services. These include personal and economic social assistance, youth and education counseling, budgetary and debt counseling, clarifications for municipalities and in the field of child protection for the KESB, as well as addiction counseling. The department also includes school social work in eleven municipalities. Given that the current position holder is returning to her home region for family reasons, the position is to be filled starting from December 2026 or by agreement. Your tasks Tasks within the global context of the municipal association • Participation in the management of the Centre social • Active participation in business development and quality management • External communication of the department in coordination with management • Targeted, efficient, and sustainable execution of assigned tasks, particularly the political and operational mandate • Participation in internal and external working groups, projects, and specialized committees Tasks within the framework of the personnel management function The department comprises 47 employees. Under your direct responsibility are the team leaders of social counseling and administration at the two sites, as well as the team leader of school social work. • Management, promotion, and support of personnel • Quality assurance, knowledge transfer, and professional development • Design of processes, procedures, and concepts • Collaboration with municipalities, specialized services, authorities, and other stakeholders Tasks in client work • Counseling and support of young people, adults, couples, and families in complex social issues • Counseling in the field of economic and personal social assistance • Counseling regarding social insurance, budget management, and income What you bring • Bachelor or Master in social work • Several years of management experience in the social field • High reliability and stress resistance • Ability to manage conflicts and to assert oneself • Knowledge in controlling, quality management, and business development • Integrative, mature, and loyal personality Are you interested?
