Data Scientist / Application Analyst Epic Cogito (Business Intelligence)

Die Insel Gruppe wants to take a pioneering role in digital medicine: Using the system of the American software manufacturer Epic, Die Insel Gruppe operates a holistically integrated clinical information system that digitally networks all locations, professional groups, and clinics. To support and further develop the analytics and reporting solutions in the Epic module Cogito, we are looking for reinforcement for our team. In doing so, you will work closely with other Epic teams as well as various stakeholders from clinical and administrative operations and make an important contribution to data-based decision-making.

What awaits you

• You develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using the analytics and reporting tools of Epic Cogito
• You capture and analyze requirements from clinical and administrative departments and implement them into suitable reporting solutions
• You create complex data queries and evaluations with SQL and prepare information according to requirements
• You support users in the clinics with the independent creation of evaluations (Self-Service Reporting)
• You test and implement new functions and adjustments in the context of Epic release changes
• You work closely with other Epic teams and specialist departments

What you bring with you

• You have a completed degree in computer science, medical informatics, data science, or a comparable education
• You bring good SQL knowledge (MS SQL Server) and enjoy the analysis and preparation of complex data
• You are characterized by a quick grasp and analytical thinking skills
• You have a structured, independent way of working and are motivated to obtain the necessary Epic certifications as quickly as possible
• You are interested in clinical and administrative processes; experience in healthcare or hospital operations is an advantage
• You communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working with different professional groups
