What you can move

• Optimization of the existing on premise Data Warehouse as a basis for the later migration
• Technical implementation of the migration from a Data Warehouse towards an on premise Data Lakehouse architecture
• Operation, monitoring and further development of the Data Lakehouse after initial setup
• Preparation and provision of data for BI to AI use cases
• Contribution and establishment of best practices regarding Data Warehouse and Data Engineering as well as - ideally - Data Lakehouse
• Advising and supporting the business departments with questions regarding data processing and provision as well as promoting Data Literacy in the company

What you bring with you

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Proven, multi-year experience in the construction and operation of on premise Data Warehouse solutions, ideally also of Data Lakehouse solutions
• Sound experience in the development of data pipelines as well as with data modeling and relational database technologies, especially MSSQL
• Very good SQL knowledge and ideally also Talend knowledge
• Understanding of data architecture, Data Governance and Data Quality Management
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures and logic
• Ability to communicate technical matters understandably to non-technical stakeholders
• Structured, quality- and solution-oriented way of working as well as a high degree of reliability and independence
• Confident communication in German, both written and spoken, good English skills are a plus
