Agricultural Employee

Job Description

Grüezi

We are pleased that you are interested in our advertised position.

Attached is a short job description:

We manage a 16 Ha farm with pig breeding and arable farming.

The work in arable farming is largely carried out by our neighbor who has a contract service company.

Pig breeding is our main occupation. With approx. 140 sows, we breed approx. 4000 young pigs per year, which we raise up to approx. 25 Kg and then sell to various fatteners.

The main activities in pig breeding are the daily cleaning and inspection tasks. Maintenance of feeding systems, caring for the animals, administration of medication, castration of male pigs under full anesthesia etc.

Furthermore, we carry out a very large part of the building maintenance and upcoming renovations ourselves. A correspondingly modern fleet of machinery is available for this purpose.

In the field, our direct work consists of the application of slurry, the introduction of silage and straw. Other work is carried out by our contractor as mentioned above.

We live in the Lucerne Seetal in a very beautiful place. The environmental work on the farm area also falls within the scope of work activities.

It is a great concern of ours to find an employee who is interested in a long-term employment relationship. The training period extends over well two years and is personally supported by us.

A room or, if required, a beautiful 3-room apartment is available. Everything by arrangement.

The working time in agriculture and on our farm is 55 hours / week. Every second weekend Saturday and Sunday off.
Food and drinks on the farm according to general Farmer's Association guidelines.
Salary by arrangement and based on the learned skills.

There is the possibility to work a trial period with us to gain an insight into the daily processes.

If this position appeals to you and you are ready to contribute your skills to our farm, we look forward to you contacting us for an interview.
